In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass shower enclosures and related fixtures in residential and commercial settings. Duties Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools to ensure precise glass fitting and installation. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements. Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fabricating, and installing shower enclosures with attention to detail. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, drilling, assembling, and securing glass panels and fixtures. Install shower doors, glass panels, metal framing, fixtures, and hardware according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Apply caulking and sealing techniques to prevent leaks and ensure a clean finish on all installations. Perform heavy lifting safely when handling large glass panels or metal framing components on construction sites. Collaborate with team members to interpret construction plans and coordinate tasks efficiently for remodeling or new installations. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols throughout each project. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, or related trades such as carpentry or remodeling. Hands-on experience with glass materials handling, fabrication, installation, and fixture setup in residential or commercial projects. Familiarity with window installation, door installation, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, or similar construction site activities. Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, drills) and power tools necessary for precise assembly and installation tasks. Strong understanding of measurement techniques for quality control and ensuring accurate fitment of glass components. Prior experience interpreting technical drawings or construction plans to execute detailed installation procedures. Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing shower enclosures effectively while maintaining aesthetic quality. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing large or bulky glass panels or framing materials during installations. Demonstrated handyman skills with a focus on remodeling projects involving fixture installation or structural adjustments.
