Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Window Installer to join our construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead installation projects, coordinate with team members, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety on every job site. As a Lead Window Installer, you will oversee the installation of windows, glass materials, and related fixtures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in construction techniques, blueprint interpretation, and precise measurements will drive successful project outcomes while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise window installation projects from start to finish, coordinating with team members and contractors to meet project timelines. Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute installation procedures. Measure dimensions precisely using appropriate tools to ensure proper fit and alignment of windows, doors, and glass fixtures. Handle glass materials safely during transportation, fabrication, and installation processes, adhering to safety protocols. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, caulking, and securing window units and fixtures. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as metal stud framing, door hanging, fixture installation, and glass handling on construction sites. Conduct quality control measurements to verify that installations meet specifications and safety standards; make adjustments as needed. Fabricate or modify components on-site based on construction plans or technical requirements. Ensure proper sealing with caulking around windows and doors to prevent leaks and improve energy efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations at all times. Skills Extensive experience in window installation, glass materials handling, and general construction site work. Strong ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and interpret technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, drills) and power tools necessary for installation tasks. Knowledge of measurement techniques for quality control and precise fitting of fixtures. Familiarity with fabrication processes related to glass materials and metal stud framing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during the transportation and installation of large or heavy components. Skilled in caulking, door hanging, fixture installation, and metal framing techniques. Handyman experience or background in carpentry enhances versatility on diverse projects. Construction estimating skills are beneficial for project planning and resource management. Strong understanding of safety protocols relevant to construction sites involving glass handling and heavy equipment use.
