About Us Nielson Glass is a trusted provider of commercial and residential windows, custom glass, and shower door installations throughout the North Bay region. We pride ourselves on precision craftsmanship, safety, and exceptional service. We are currently seeking a skilled, reliable Glazier or Glass Installer to join us immediately for a short-term, 2-week temporary assignment to help assist our team with an influx of local projects. Job Description We are looking for a capable Temporary Glazier / Glass Installer who can hit the ground running. This is a confirmed 2-week temporary position ideal for an experienced glazier, journeyman, or advanced apprentice looking to pick up steady, well-paying field work immediately. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience handling, measuring, and installing glass fixtures (such as windows, doors, or custom showers) and must be able to work safely and efficiently alongside our current team. Responsibilities Assist with the installation and repair of residential and/or commercial glass projects, windows, doors, and shower enclosures. Accurately handle field measurements and ensure precise, level installation of glass panels, frames, and hardware. Use standard glazing hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Apply sealants, waterproofing materials, and weatherproofing to ensure proper seals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on all job sites. Communicate professionally with coworkers and clients on-site. Adhere to all standard field safety regulations and company protocols.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous professional experience in the glazing trade (glass installation, window replacement, or shower doors). Open to experienced apprentices, journeymen, or lead installers.
Tools & Layout:
Proficiency with standard glazing hand tools, power tools, and precise measuring instruments. Ability to read layout plans or fabrication instructions is a plus.
Commute:
Must be able to reliably commute to our shop/job sites in the Petaluma area daily.
License:
Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Physical:
Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy glass panels and installation equipment.
Safety:
Strong safety mindset; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred but not a strict dealbreaker for the right candidate.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
