In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass, windows, doors, and related fixtures across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure precise measurements, quality craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance building aesthetics and functionality while developing your skills in construction and fabrication. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements. Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures, levels, and other tools to ensure proper fit and finish. Handle glass materials carefully, including cutting, fabrication, and installation of glass panels, windows, doors, and fixtures. Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, caulk guns, and metal stud framing tools to complete installations efficiently. Install windows, doors, glass panels, mirrors, and other fixtures with precision according to specifications. Perform heavy lifting of glass materials and other construction components safely while following proper handling procedures. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and insulation of installed fixtures. Fabricate custom glass pieces or modifications as needed on-site or in the workshop. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents on the construction site. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. Strong knowledge of glass materials handling, window installation, door hanging, and fixture installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment. Construction site experience with a focus on glazing or related trades such as carpentry or handyman work. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality control purposes. Familiarity with metal stud framing and general construction plans is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measurement and installation quality.
