Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Glazier to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have completed an approved apprenticeship program, possess at least 5 years of professional glass installation experience, and hold the necessary certifications. As a Journeyman Glazier, you will be responsible for handling complex glass installations, repairs, and fabrication tasks while ensuring quality and precision in every project. You will work with a variety of glass products and framing materials across both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities :

Install and Replace Glass :

Safely and accurately install glass in windows, doors, storefronts, and other structures.

Glass Cutting & Fabrication :

Measure and cut glass to specifications, using hand tools and power tools as necessary.

Repairs and Maintenance :

Assess, repair, and replace damaged or broken glass in existing installations.

Collaborative Work :

Work alongside project managers, contractors, and other construction professionals to ensure all glass installations meet project requirements.

Blueprints and Schematics :

Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations to exact specifications.

Maintain Safety and Cleanliness :

Ensure a safe working environment and maintain cleanliness and organization on the job site.

Training & Mentorship :

Provide guidance and support to junior glaziers or apprentices, helping to build the team's skills and expertise.

Skills & Qualifications :

Required :

Minimum 5 years of professional glazier experience . Completion of an approved apprentice training program and certification. Ability to safely and efficiently operate both power tools and hand tools related to glazing work. Expertise in glass cutting, framing, and installation of various glass structures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred :

Experience with custom glass installations , including shower enclosures, storefronts, and skylights. Experience in remodeling and working with a variety of glass types and applications. Customer service experience or a client-focused mindset.

$45.00 - $50.00 per hour, based on experience. Additional bonus opportunities available.
