Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Glazier to join our dynamic construction team. As a vital member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in a variety of settings, including commercial buildings, residential properties, and remodeling projects. Your expertise will ensure that all glass fixtures are installed with precision, safety, and quality in mind. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and technical skills while contributing to beautiful, functional spaces. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the correct installation procedures for glass fixtures. Measure dimensions accurately using tools such as tape measures and calipers to ensure precise fitting and quality control. Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, shaping, and fabricating glass components according to project specifications. Install windows, doors, mirrors, storefronts, and other glass fixtures using hand tools and power tools with attention to detail. Perform framing tasks such as metal stud framing or trim carpentry to support glass installations securely. Apply caulking, sealing, and finishing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal. Assist with remodeling projects by installing drywall, cabinetry, fixtures, and performing general handyman tasks as needed. Lift heavy glass panels and materials safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Interpret blueprints and schematics accurately to execute installation plans efficiently. Conduct quality measurements during installation to verify proper fitment and alignment of glass components. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on glazing or related trades such as carpentry or drywall installation. Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction plans. Hands-on experience handling glass materials safely and efficiently during fabrication and installation processes. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) essential for precise work. Knowledge of window installation techniques including door hanging and fixture installation. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols for heavy lifting and material handling. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality control purposes. Prior experience in remodeling projects involving drywall, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, or cabinetry is a plus.
