The Shop Technician is invited to participate in our on-the-job training program. Starting out at Greenhorn, we'll coach and train the team, advancing into apprentice, craftsman, and eventually Meister/Master is possible. Brief Description of Job (Purpose): The Shop Technician is responsible for constructing prefabricated wall, roof, and floor panels, including framing, sheathing, insulation, and window/door installation support. This role ensures products meet quality standards, follow production schedules, and comply with safety guidelines. The position also involves preparing panels for delivery, maintaining accurate documentation, and working collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Essential Functions:

Perform framing, sheathing, insulation, and exterior attachment assembly for prefabricated wall, roof, and floor panels. Assist with the pre-installation of windows and doors. Follow production schedules, deadlines, documentation, blueprints, and work orders for daily tasks. Prepare completed panels for delivery, including loading trailers, wrapping products, and moving materials while maintaining safety standards. Inspect products continuously to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met. Maintain oversight of personal workmanship and contribute to overall team quality control. Perform daily cleanup and routine maintenance of work areas, tools, and equipment. Follow all workplace safety guidelines when handling materials and equipment. Operate computer systems to log production activities, track documentation, and update records accurately. Collaborate effectively with teammates on the production floor to meet output goals. Communicate clearly and professionally to support teamwork and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Construction experience including drywall, framing, and insulation preferred. Experience with windows/doors installation preferred. Prior work in panel assembly, prefabricated housing, or related building environment is a plus.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required if the candidate has relevant experience. Vocational or technical training in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing a plus.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
