As a Window Installer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and related fixtures on various construction sites. Your attention to detail and hands-on skills will ensure every project meets safety standards and exceeds client expectations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your craft while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install windows, doors, and fixtures. Measure dimensions precisely using tools such as tape measures and levels to ensure proper fit and alignment. Handle glass materials safely during transportation, cutting, fabrication, and installation processes. Use hand tools and power tools to install window frames, trim carpentry components, metal studs, and other structural elements. Install glass materials securely using caulking, glazing techniques, and fixture installation methods for optimal insulation and durability. Perform heavy lifting of window units, glass panels, and construction materials while maintaining safety protocols. Conduct quality control checks to verify measurements align with specifications and ensure proper sealing with caulking or weatherproofing techniques. Requirements Proven construction experience with a focus on window installation or related carpentry work. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and saws. Experience handling glass materials safely during fabrication and installation processes. Knowledge of construction practices and ability to interpret construction plans accurately. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Familiarity with measuring (quality control), caulking techniques, door hanging, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, fixture installation, cabinetry work, remodeling projects, and construction painting is highly desirable.
