In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and glazing systems across a variety of Residential & Commercial projects. Must have 5 years minimum experience installing heavy frameless glass entrances, glass railings, shower enclosures, storefronts, commercial glass interiors. (We serve Fairfield County) Your expertise will ensure that all glass components are installed accurately, safely, and efficiently, contributing to the overall quality and aesthetic of our clients' spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Duties Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fabricating, and fitting glass panels for all applications and other architectural elements Use hand tools and power tools to install glass units securely within frames or on surfaces according to specifications Perform heavy lifting of glass materials while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury or damage Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and insulation of installed glass units Conduct quality control measurements during installation to verify accuracy in dimensions and alignment; interpret schematics for proper assembly Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; handle glass materials with care during transportation and installation Qualifications Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices (such as tape measures or calipers), and fabrication equipment Strong knowledge of all glass installation Experience handling glass materials safely in a manufacturing or construction setting; familiarity with glass materials handling techniques Background in construction site work with knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and working at heights Skills in dimensional measurements for quality control purposes; ability to perform precise measurement tasks consistently Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights Experience will impact hourly rates.
