LICENSED FG-2 COMMERCIAL GLAZIER
Experienced Installer / Lead Installer / Foreman Commercial Storefront Services, Inc. (CSSI) South Windsor, Connecticut Full-Time - Year-Round Employment - $2,500 Signing Bonus After Successful Completion of 90-Day Probationary Period Commercial Storefront Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced Connecticut FG-2 Licensed Commercial Glazier to become an integral part of our field installation team . CSSI is a well-established commercial glazing contractor with decades of experience in the commercial glass and architectural aluminum industry. We have also been a longtime participant in Connecticut's apprenticeship program, helping develop the next generation of skilled glaziers. We are not simply looking to fill an open position. We are looking for the right person who wants to become an important part of our company, contribute their experience and knowledge, and build a long-term future with CSSI. The right individual will be someone we can depend on in the field, who takes pride in their work and in representing our company, and who wants to work closely with our project management and fabrication teams to deliver quality projects. The Position Our field team performs a wide variety of commercial glazing work, including:- Commercial aluminum storefront
- Curtain wall systems
- Aluminum entrance doors and frames
- Insulated, tempered and laminated glass
- Interior and exterior glazing
- Commercial door hardware
- Glass replacement and service work
- Perimeter sealants and weatherproofing
- Field measuring and layout
- Reading architectural and shop drawings
- Troubleshooting existing storefront and entrance systems Experience with Kawneer, YKK AP, EFCO, OBE and similar architectural aluminum systems is highly desirable.
Who We're Looking For Required:
- Current Connecticut FG-2 Glazier License
- Commercial glazing and aluminum installation experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read drawings and understand installation details
- Ability to work safely from ladders, lifts and staging
- Strong workmanship and attention to detail
Preferred:
- OSHA 10
- 5+ years of commercial glazing experience
- Storefront and curtain wall experience
- Commercial entrance and door hardware experience
- Layout and field measuring experience
- Ability to troubleshoot field conditions
- Lead Installer or Foreman experience You do not need to currently be a Foreman to apply.
- Planning and executing challenging installations
- Identifying and solving field conditions
- Coordinating with project management and fabrication
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Mentoring apprentices and developing glaziers
- Improving installation methods and field operations
- Helping build and strengthen our field team For someone with leadership ability and the desire to grow, there are opportunities to take on greater responsibility within CSSI.
