In this role, you will be responsible for precisely cutting glass materials used in a variety of applications, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to the production of durable, accurately measured glass products, including ceramics and other specialty materials. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication tools and techniques, supporting the creation of premium glass items through meticulous craftsmanship and technical proficiency. Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to determine cutting specifications and dimensions Operate precision cutting equipment such as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, hand tools, and measurement instruments like calipers and micrometers Use measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions during production and quality control processes Cut, shape, and finish glass materials with high accuracy while maintaining safety standards in production environments Maintain detailed records of measurements, cuts, and quality checks to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications Follow safety protocols related to handling kiln-fired ceramics and glass materials, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Collaborate with fabrication teams to optimize processes involving machining, kiln operations, and assembly of glass components Experience Proven experience in glass cutting or related fabrication roles within manufacturing or industrial environments Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machine operation, CNC programming, and interpreting technical drawings Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise measurements and quality control Experience working with measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Understanding of safety standards in production settings involving glass materials, kilns, ceramics, and machining tools Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and material requirements Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CAD software, and machining processes is a plus Join us to craft high-quality glass products that meet rigorous standards!
