About Five Points Glass Systems Five Points Glass Systems LLC is a growing residential and commercial glass installation company serving customers throughout the Metro Atlanta area. We specialize in glass and mirror installations while also providing additional construction-related services through a variety of commercial and residential contracts. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to grow with a company that is expanding its services and client base. Position Summary The Field Operations Technician will work directly with the Owner/Lead Installer to support residential and commercial glass installation projects, field surveys, material handling, and other construction-related contract work. This position is ideal for someone with general construction experience who is eager to learn new skills and become a valuable member of a growing team. While glass installation will be a primary responsibility, employees may also assist with other field operations and specialty projects as business needs evolve. No two days are exactly alike, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop a broad range of construction and field service skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Field Operations Technician may be responsible for: Glass Installation Assist with residential and commercial glass installations. Safely lift, carry, and position glass panels using proper lifting techniques. Assist with shower door, mirror, storefront, railing, and specialty glass installations. Assist with unloading and staging materials. Protect finished surfaces during installation. Clean installed glass and hardware before project completion. Field Surveys & Measurements Assist with field measurements. Read tape measurements accurately, including fractions. Assist with laser measurements. Record measurements accurately. Take project photographs for documentation. Assist with preparing measurement forms. Construction Support Assist with general residential and commercial construction projects. Perform job site preparation and cleanup. Assist with demolition when necessary. Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials. Perform miscellaneous labor tasks as assigned. Support additional contract work performed by the company. Safety Follow all company safety policies. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Safely handle glass and construction materials. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Participate in safety meetings and training. Customer Service Represent Five Points Glass Systems professionally. Maintain a positive attitude with customers. Respect customer property. Keep work areas clean and organized.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants should possess:
High school diploma or GED (preferred) Minimum of one (1) year of residential or commercial construction experience Valid driver's license Reliable personal transportation Ability to travel throughout the Metro Atlanta area Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and occasional overtime as business needs require. Ability to accurately read a tape measure Basic knowledge of construction tools Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants with experience in: Glass installation Storefront systems Shower door installation Commercial construction Door installation Interior finish carpentry Metal framing Laser measuring equipment Operating construction equipment Physical Requirements This position regularly requires employees to: Lift up to 100 pounds with assistance Frequently lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work on ladders Work outdoors in various weather conditions Handle large sheets of glass safely Walk on uneven surfaces Perform repetitive lifting and carrying throughout the workday Transportation Requirements Applicants must: Maintain a valid driver's license. Have reliable personal transportation. Be willing to travel to multiple job sites throughout Metro Atlanta. Maintain automobile insurance as required by state law. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for approved work-related travel between job sites in accordance with company policy. Pay:
