Role:
We are seeking an experienced Glazier to join our team in Columbus, GA. This is a hands-on residential glazing position responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in windows, doors, shower enclosures, bathrooms, and other residential applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of residential glazing systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle glass, tools, frames, and hardware. This position also involves direct interaction with customers, so professionalism and clear communication are important.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, install, set, and seal glass for residential applications. Install and repair windows, doors, shower doors, bathroom glass, and other glazing systems. Handle, transport, and position glass safely while minimizing the risk of damage. Install and work with frames, hardware, seals, and related glazing components. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Read and follow work orders, measurements, specifications, and basic drawings. Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, sealing, and overall finish. Troubleshoot installation issues and determine appropriate solutions. Communicate professionally with customers regarding project status and installation requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Glazier or in a related glass, glazing, window, or construction trade is preferred. Experience with measuring, cutting, setting, sealing, and installing glass. Hands-on experience with windows, shower doors, doors, frames, and residential glazing systems. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce quality workmanship. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and follow work orders, measurements, and basic drawings. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver glass and related materials. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work full-time on-site and outdoors or in varying weather conditions. Vocational training, apprenticeship, or related trade experience is a plus. What We re
