Role:

Window Pros Inc is hiring a Service Technician Apprentice to support our door and window service team. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who's mechanically inclined, dependable, and ready to build a long-term career in a skilled trade. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to learn how to diagnose, repair, install and service residential windows and doors. Window Pros Inc is based in Plainfield IL and services the Chicagoland area. We are an installer and service provider for one of the nation's largest window and door manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians with door and window installations and repairs.
• Help to load, unload, and transport materials and tools to job sites.
• Perform site prep, cleanup, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut and install products (on job training as needed).
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces and company vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Learn and apply skills related to field.

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors or in various conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a background check if asked.
• Punctual and team-oriented attitude.
