Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aluminum Storefront & Glass Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining aluminum storefronts, glass panels, doors, and related fixtures on commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance building aesthetics and functionality while developing your skills in construction and fabrication. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installations of aluminum storefronts, glass panels, doors, and fixtures. Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures, levels, and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment during installation. Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fitting, and installing glass panels with attention to quality control standards. Operate hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment to assemble and install storefront systems. Install doors, windows, trim carpentry elements, metal stud framing, and fixtures according to project specifications. Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and aluminum components while maintaining safety protocols at all times. Apply caulking, sealants, and finishing touches to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal of installations. Follow construction plans meticulously while adhering to safety guidelines on busy construction sites. Assist in fabrication or manufacturing processes as needed for custom storefront components. Conduct quality checks through measurement verification to confirm proper installation standards are met. Experience Prior construction experience with a focus on glass installation or storefront systems is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction or carpentry work. Knowledge of glass materials handling, cutting techniques, and installation procedures. Familiarity with measurement techniques for quality control in construction projects. Experience working on commercial or residential construction sites with a strong understanding of safety protocols. Background in fabrication or manufacturing related to aluminum or glass products is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in physically demanding environments.
