Job Description
Car Teks is an established automotive customization shop in Schererville, IN, in business for nearly 20 years. We specialize in window tint, paint protection film (PPF), ceramic coating, remote start, and car audio. We are looking to add one or two people to our back-of-shop team. We are open to two kinds of candidates: skilled installers who already know the trade, and dependable, hands-on people who want to learn it the right way. Above everything else, we are looking for reliability. The most important qualities are showing up on time every day and being trusted to do quality work without supervision. Responsibilities Window tint installation, including rear glass Vehicle prep and panel teardown Operating the plotter and cutting film Tint removal Assisting with and learning PPF installation Keeping the shop clean and organized Assisting customers at the front counter when needed What We Are Looking For Experienced window tinters or PPF technicians (you will start near the top of the pay range), OR Reliable, mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn a trade and be trained from the ground up Either way: dependable, punctual, hardworking, and trustworthy to produce quality work on your own Compensation and Schedule $15/hr starting for entry-level trainees Up to $25/hr or more for skilled applicants who are a strong fit A clear, skill-based raise ladder: advancement is tied to demonstrated skills, not time served.
