Duties Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise glass installation. Handle glass materials safely, including cutting, fabricating, and fitting glass panels for windows, doors, fixtures, and custom projects. Install glass components such as windows, doors, mirrors, shower enclosures, and decorative panels using hand tools and power tools. Use caulking techniques to seal joints and ensure weatherproofing and durability of installations. Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, cabinetry, or other related components requiring precise glass or carpentry Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, measuring tapes, and caulking guns; experience with power tools is a plus. Experience in window installation, door hanging, fixture installation, and general remodeling tasks. Ability to handle glass materials safely during fabrication and installation while maintaining quality standards through accurate measurements. Construction site experience with heavy lifting techniques necessary for handling large or heavy glass panels. Familiarity with construction plans related to framing, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, painting or remodeling projects. Knowledge of construction safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
