Responsibilities:
Safely transport, handle, install, repair, and replace glass and glazing systems for various contract and commercial projects. Prepare job sites, work areas, tools, equipment, and materials for efficient and safe installation. Travel to job sites and work effectively in changing environments. Install and work with glazing systems, including curtain wall, storefront, commercial entrances, and panels. Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts and other equipment used in glazing work. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and installation details. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project. Follow all company policies, project requirements, and OSHA safety standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience in contract or commercial glazing, glass installation, construction, or a related skilled trade preferred. Demonstrated ability to safely and proficiently use hand tools and job-site equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, measurements and installation details. Strong teamwork and communication skills in a cooperative team environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and resolve installation challenges. Flexibility and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed. Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs. Ability to work safely at various heights using ladders and lifts. Commitment to following Granite State Glass and OSHA safety guidelines and procedures. OSHA 10 certification (GSG will cover the cost of certification if needed).
