In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and glazing systems across commercial projects. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the scope of work and required materials. Measure dimensions accurately for glass cuts, window frames, door openings, and other glazing components to ensure precise installation. Handle glass materials safely using appropriate lifting techniques and tools; cut, shape, and fabricate glass as needed for various applications. Install windows, doors, glass panels, fixtures, and trim carpentry components according to specifications while adhering to safety protocols. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, fabrication, installation, caulking, drywall finishing, metal stud framing, and painting tasks. Manage glass materials handling efficiently to prevent damage or injury during transportation and installation processes. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, window installation, glass materials handling, and general construction site work. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including door hanging, frame carpentry, cabinet installation, drywall finishing, metal stud framing, and remodeling. Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and construction plans with precision. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), measuring devices (e.g., tape measures), and fabrication equipment. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required on commercial sites. Experience with fixture installation including doors, windows, glass panels, cabinetry or other architectural features. Knowledge of construction safety practices including caulking techniques and proper handling of glass materials.
