This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in high-quality work, can run an installation from start to finish, and understands the importance of professionalism, communication, and reliability. Beyond installation work, the Lead Technician organizes the crew, reviews job requirements, upholds quality standards, flags job-site issues early, and makes sure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. Key Responsibilities Lead residential and commercial flat-glass window film installations. Install architectural window films, including solar control, privacy, decorative, security/safety, and specialty films. Review work orders, measurements, film specifications, and installation requirements before starting each project. Organize and direct technicians and helpers on the job site. Ensure installations meet TTF and manufacturer quality standards. Identify installation challenges and resolve them in the field. Balance productivity with uncompromising installation quality. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, property managers, and TTF management. Immediately report job-site issues, scope changes, damage concerns, material shortages, or other conditions that could affect project completion. Maintain tools, equipment, ladders, vehicles, and installation materials. Protect work areas during installation and leave each site clean on completion. Follow all company and job-site safety requirements. Train and mentor less-experienced technicians. Give management feedback on installation techniques, quality trends, and technician development. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work when required. Leadership Expectations The Lead Flat Glass Technician sets the standard for the installation team in: Workmanship and attention to detail Productivity and job-site organization Customer service Professional appearance and conduct Communication Safety Teamwork Reliability and attendance Management should be able to count on the Lead Technician to take ownership of an installation and represent TTF professionally when management isn't on site. Attendance & Reliability This position leads scheduled customer installations, so consistent, dependable attendance is an essential function of the job. The Lead Flat Glass Technician must: Report to work on time and ready to work as scheduled. Maintain reliable attendance. Give appropriate, timely notice when an unavoidable absence occurs. Recognize that unscheduled absences and repeated call-ins can significantly affect customers, coworkers, and scheduled projects. Be available for reasonable schedule adjustments when project requirements dictate. Qualifications Required Professional flat-glass/window film installation experience. Ability to independently complete residential and commercial installations. Strong understanding of proper film preparation, handling, cutting, installation, finishing, and cleanup. Ability to safely use ladders, installation tools, and related equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Dependable transportation and reliable attendance. Preferred 3M architectural window film experience. Experience with solar, decorative, privacy, safety/security, and specialty films. Previous lead technician or crew-lead experience. Experience reading plans, measurements, work orders, and commercial project documentation. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work with hands for extended periods. Safely climb and work from ladders [add max height, e.g., up to 20 ft, if applicable]. Lift and carry installation materials, tools, and equipment [add typical/max weight, e.g., up to 50 lbs]. Work indoors and outdoors in varying job-site conditions. Perform detailed installation work for extended periods. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
