In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, installing, and servicing a variety of window coverings including blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial spaces, utilizing your construction and carpentry skills to transform interiors with precision and care. Duties Measure windows accurately using tape measures, levels, and schematics to ensure perfect fitment of window coverings Install a wide range of window treatments such as blinds, shades, shutters, and custom draperies following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and secure mounting brackets, frames, and fixtures Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and plan installation steps effectively Perform fabrication or modification of window coverings when necessary to fit unique window dimensions or design specifications Conduct site assessments to identify potential challenges related to construction site experience or remodeling projects Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting or installing large or bulky window treatments Apply caulking, trim carpentry, or metal stud framing techniques to ensure clean finishes around installations Complete all necessary documentation including installation reports and client sign-offs with attention to detail Maintain a clean work environment by tidying up after each project and adhering to safety standards at all times Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning and resource management Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, saws, levels, and measuring devices Experience with glass installation and fixture mounting techniques for durable results Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in various construction settings Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for precise installations Skilled in fabrication and manufacturing processes related to custom window coverings or remodeling projects Background in carpentry including frame carpentry, door hanging, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing Familiarity with construction site experience including remodeling projects or handyman tasks Expertise in caulking techniques for weatherproofing and finishing touches Knowledge of construction painting for touch-ups or finishing details around installed treatments Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy window covering components Experience with schematic interpretation for fixture installation or cabinetry work Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt plans based on site conditions or client needs Join us if you're eager to bring your construction expertise into the world of interior design!
