Job Description
Glazier duties and responsibilities The primary responsibility of a Glazier is to ensure the proper installation of windows and skylights in homes and commercial buildings. Some common job duties for the position include: Using tools to cut and shape glass to fit frames precisely Checking that glass is properly aligned and straight during the installation process Assembling and installing metal and wood components used to hold glass Fastening glass in place with clips, moldings and other components Sealing windows with putty or weather seal Inspecting completed work to ensure it is free of defects Complying with federal, state and local health and safety regulations and building codes Summary As a Glazier/Installer, you will be responsible for the precise installation of glass in various settings, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Reporting to the project supervisor, you will utilize core skills in hand and power tools, along with your expertise in glass installation. Your premium skill in construction estimating will assist in project planning and execution. Additionally, your relevant skills in blueprint reading, fabrication, and carpentry will enhance your contributions on construction sites.
