In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Your hands-on skills will ensure each installation meets high standards of quality, safety, and precision. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while working on diverse projects that challenge and develop your skills every day. Duties Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise fitting. Prepare work sites by removing old windows, framing, or other obstructions using hand tools and power tools. Install new windows with attention to detail, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and caulking for energy efficiency and durability. Fabricate or modify window components as needed, utilizing fabrication techniques in manufacturing or remodeling settings. Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, levels, and saws to assemble frames and fixtures securely. Perform heavy lifting of window units and related materials safely while following all safety protocols. Complete finishing tasks including trim carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall patching, painting touch-ups, and fixture installation to achieve a polished look. Read blueprints and schematics thoroughly to understand project specifications and ensure accurate installation procedures. Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects or construction site tasks such as door hanging or cabinet installation. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently throughout each project phase. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating to assess project scope and material needs accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment essential for window installation. Experience with glass installation techniques ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Construction site experience with familiarity in remodeling, framing, drywall work, and carpentry practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively for precise execution. Skilled in the use of schematics for fixture installation or metal stud framing projects. Hands-on maintenance person experience including caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and general repairs. Knowledge of construction painting techniques to finish projects professionally. Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks combined with good balance and coordination for working at heights or awkward positions. Understanding of safety protocols related to construction painting, metal stud framing, assembly tasks, and remodeling activities.
