Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Window Screen Technician to join our team. This position involves building new window screens, repairing and rescreening existing screens, and assembling and repairing sliding patio screen doors. The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand and power tools, has good attention to detail, and takes pride in producing clean, professional finished products. Previous construction, window, screen, handyman, or fabrication experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Build new custom window screens from aluminum screen frame Measure, cut, and assemble screen frames to the correct dimensions Install fiberglass, pet-resistant, solar, and other types of screen mesh Rescreen existing window screens Build and repair sliding patio screen doors Replace damaged screen mesh, spline, corners, rollers, handles, latches, and other hardware Measure windows and doors for replacement screens Use saws, screen rollers, drills, hand tools, and other shop equipment Inspect completed screens for proper fit, tension, appearance, and operation Maintain an organized and clean work area Keep track of materials and notify management when supplies are running low Load and unload screens and materials as needed Occasionally perform screen installation or service work at customers' homes Communicate professionally with customers and other team members Handle customers' homes and property carefully and respectfully Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, as well as power tools including drills and saws Experience with window installation, glass materials handling, and glass installation techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials Familiarity with caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, and framing carpentry Construction site experience with a focus on remodeling projects or handyman tasks Skills in measurement for quality control purposes to ensure precise fitting of screens and fixtures Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to build a career in the construction field!
