Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Auto and Commercial Glass Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass as well as commercial glass systems with precision, safety, and professionalism. Responsibilities include windshield replacements and repairs, door glass, back glass, heavy equipment glass, storefront systems, aluminum-framed entrances, windows, insulated glass units, mirrors, tempered glass, and other commercial glazing applications. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining the highest safety standards and exceptional customer service. You will work on a variety of residential, commercial, and automotive projects, utilizing specialized tools and installation techniques to ensure every installation meets industry standards and manufacturer specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to expand your skills in both the automotive and commercial glass industries while working with a team that values craftsmanship, reliability, and continuous professional development. Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace automotive glass, including windshields, door glass, back glass, quarter glass, and sunroofs. Perform windshield chip repairs and recalibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) when required. Install and service commercial glass systems, including storefronts, aluminum entrances, windows, insulated glass units (IGUs), mirrors, tempered glass, and other glazing products. Read and interpret work orders, measurements, blueprints, and installation specifications to ensure accurate installations. Measure, cut, fit, and secure glass and glazing materials using industry-approved methods and specialized tools. Remove damaged glass and prepare openings for new installations while minimizing damage to surrounding materials. Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, weatherproofing, structural integrity, and compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and company vehicles. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members throughout each project. Complete required documentation, work orders, and inventory records accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing glass, materials, and equipment. Perform on-site service calls and emergency glass replacements as needed. Participate in ongoing training to stay current on installation techniques, safety procedures, and new products. Represent the company with professionalism by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive attitude on every job. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team and company. Requirements Prior dealership experience or background in automotive repair strongly preferred Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration procedures is a plus Experience with manual glass cutting, fitting auto glass, and automotive glass replacement techniques Commercial glass installment Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols such as power tool safety standards Ability to lift heavy glass materials safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly Familiarity with auto estimating software or processes is advantageous Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles required Additional skills such as window tinting, vehicle detailing, or automotive mechanic experience are beneficial Join our team to be part of a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference!
