Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier with us, you will be responsible for installing glass in various residential and commercial settings, with a focus on storefronts, aluminum doors, patio systems, custom shower enclosures, and other structures. Your primary duties will include measuring, cutting, fitting, installing, and repairing glass and mirrors according to specifications. Additionally, working on door hardware, including hinges, panic devices, locks, door closers, etc will be expected. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions and shapes. Install glass windows, doors, storefronts, aluminum doors, patio systems, custom shower enclosures, and other glass structures. Fabricate and install aluminum framing systems for glass panels, including storefronts, doors, and shower enclosures. Repair or replace damaged glass panels and mirrors. Install/Repair Storefront Door Hardware (including hinges, pivots, locking devices, closers) Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate tools and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Glazier in both residential and commercial settings. Proficiency in cutting, shaping, and installing glass. Knowledge of different types of glass and their applications. Strong attention to detail and precision. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
Valid Drivers License Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or training in glass installation or related field. Previous experience working with storefronts, aluminum doors, architectural glass systems, custom shower enclosures, and patio enclosures.
