Overview Join our dynamic team as a Sales Associate specializing in Kitchen & Bath Cabinets, Countertops, Flooring, Lighting, Window Treatments, Windows & Doors! Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their renovation and remodeling needs related to cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting, window treatments, windows, and doors. Provide expert advice on product selection, layout design using SketchUp or CAD software, and lighting or interior design options. Conduct product demonstrations and showcase features to educate clients on high-end sales items and upselling opportunities. Assist customers through the entire sales process—from initial consultation and product demos to deal closing and account management. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely stock availability and maintain merchandising standards. Prepare detailed layouts and proposals for remodeling projects utilizing technical tools like SketchUp or CAD programs. Maintain organized records of sales transactions using POS systems and handle cashing or cash handling procedures accurately. Support marketing initiatives by promoting new products and participating in retail math analysis to optimize sales strategies. Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction, coordinate installation schedules, and provide ongoing customer service for maintenance or future upgrades. Requirements Proven experience in outside sales or inside sales within the renovation, construction, or retail environment. Strong knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, flooring materials, lighting design, window treatments, windows & doors—preferably with technical proficiency in SketchUp or CAD software. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining customer trust. Background in remodeling or construction projects with hands-on experience in installation or maintenance is highly desirable. Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously and maintaining detailed records. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly convey product benefits and technical details. Familiarity with POS systems, retail math calculations, merchandising strategies, and basic math skills necessary for accurate quoting and pricing. A passion for interior design and lighting solutions that inspire customers' visions into reality.
