In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of insulation materials across residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites. Your expertise will help improve building performance while adhering to safety standards and blueprint specifications. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in construction and insulation installation while contributing to high-quality project outcomes. Duties Install a variety of insulation materials including fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, and mineral wool according to project specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine insulation requirements and installation procedures. Use hand tools such as knives, tape measures, caulking guns, and power tools safely and efficiently to complete insulation tasks. Climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights safely while following all ladder use protocols and safety guidelines. Follow safety protocols rigorously to ensure a secure work environment; operate power tools with attention to safety standards. Measure spaces accurately using basic math skills to determine the amount of insulation needed for each project. Collaborate with carpenters, drywall installers, masons, roofers, and other trades to coordinate installation processes seamlessly. Maintain clear communication with clients and project managers regarding progress, challenges, or technical issues encountered on-site. Assist in fabricating or customizing insulation components as needed for specific project requirements. Adhere strictly to construction estimating procedures when assessing material needs and project scope. Experience Prior construction experience with a focus on insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry, drywall, roofing, or masonry is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and building plans accurately. Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools safely in a construction environment. Knowledge of safety protocols related to ladder use, power tool operation, scaffold work, and site safety regulations. Familiarity with building codes and standards concerning insulation materials and installation practices. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise installation work.
