Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking fire-stopping installer who is looking for growth to join our team
Responsibilities:
Review and understand safety on the job site Coordinate the installation process at the job site (unload equipment, place the hose in the location of installation, etc.) Use basic trade math fundamentals to assist the supervisor with costs Inspection of firewalls per NFPA code Providing accurate documentation for customers' code compliance Maintain professional, timely communication with customers Review and learn blueprinting, sketching, perspectives, and terminology Develop an understanding of the relationship between cost, blueprintin,g reading, and material estimating Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Must have at least six months of construction experience Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and use a tape measure, and ability to read measurements off of a blueprint. Must have a form of dependable transportation; must travel out of town, both on overnight and one-day trips.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
