We're currently seeking a Lead Blown Insulation Technician to join our growing team at Goley Insulation in Dupo, IL. This is an opportunity to lead a crew, showcase your expertise, and work on projects that make a lasting impact—all while earning competitive pay and excellent union benefits. Key Responsibilities Install blown insulation in attics, walls, ceilings, and other residential and commercial spaces. Lead, mentor, and direct crew members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to plan and manage daily tasks. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, following all OSHA and company safety protocols. Collaborate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members to ensure clear communication and timely project completion. Working Conditions Work indoors and outdoors in a variety of environments. Perform tasks at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment. Navigate tight or confined spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, or mechanical rooms. Lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in blown insulation installation or similar insulation applications. Proven leadership ability in a construction or technical role. Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Preferred:

Experience with multiple insulation types and related equipment. Familiarity with commercial and residential construction practices.
