Installer (2nd Shift)
Shift Information Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM (2nd Shift)Training:
Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM for approximately 2-4 weeks Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Installer to support the fabrication and installation of insulation components used on industrial equipment. In this role, you will operate water jet cutting equipment to cut insulation materials from large rolls into custom components and install them according to engineering specifications. Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Review travelers, blueprints, and insulation Bills of Materials (BOMs) to verify material availability and condition prior to starting work. Verify vacuum integrity in accordance with leak test procedures before starting the insulation process. Operate water jet cutting equipment to cut insulation materials accurately and efficiently. Cut, fit, and install insulation on shells, heads, piping, and other equipment components. Apply adhesives, bands, and jacketing materials as required by work instructions and specifications. Identify and correct insulation gaps or material issues by measuring, cutting, and fitting replacement pieces. Record and document vacuum readings before and after insulation installation to ensure leak detection traceability. Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and attention to detail throughout the installation process. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Required Qualifications Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, fabrication, or installation environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in insulation fabrication, fitting, or installation within a high-mix manufacturing environment. Experience working with industrial equipment, fabrication processes, or custom-built products. Familiarity with quality inspection processes and material handling procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the majority of the shift (8-10 hours). Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 35 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, sleeves, and other safety gear. Safety & Compliance Strictly adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. Participate in respirator fit testing and wear required PPE at all times. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
