We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pipe Insulator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation on pipes, valves, fittings, and other industrial equipment to help maintain proper operating temperatures, improve energy efficiency, and support safe and reliable facility operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment. Experience with industrial insulation and a strong understanding of insulation materials, installation methods, and job-site safety practices are highly valued. Key Job Responsibilities Install, remove, repair, and replace insulation on pipes, valves, fittings, tanks, vessels, and other industrial equipment. Measure and cut insulation materials to required specifications for proper fit and coverage. Install insulation jackets, metal jacketing, weather barriers, and protective coverings as required. Work with various insulation materials, including fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and other industrial insulation products. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, work orders, and insulation requirements. Ensure insulation is properly secured, sealed, and finished to prevent heat loss, condensation, and weather-related damage. Inspect completed insulation work to ensure proper installation, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and insulation-related equipment. Work safely from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other elevated work platforms when required. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle insulation materials and job-site debris. Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety requirements and procedures. Coordinate with pipefitters, welders, mechanical trades, supervisors, and other personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently. Identify and report damaged insulation, equipment issues, safety hazards, or other job-site concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other insulation-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Working knowledge of industrial insulation materials, installation methods, and practices. Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials. Ability to read and understand basic drawings, specifications, measurements, and work orders. Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, and insulation-related equipment. Ability to work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and other elevated work platforms. Ability to work in industrial environments, including areas with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and other job-site conditions. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company and OSHA requirements. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver insulation materials, tools, and equipment as required. Must be willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all job-site safety procedures. Valid driver's license may be required depending on project and job-site requirements. Preferred Qualifications Painting, coating, and blasting paint preferred, but not required OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Experience working on industrial, commercial, power generation, manufacturing, or other large-scale facilities. Experience with metal jacketing and weatherproofing. Experience working from aerial lifts or other powered access equipment. Experience interpreting detailed insulation drawings or specifications. Familiarity with industrial safety procedures and permit requirements.
