Job Summary:
Searching for motivated individuals looking to build a career in an in-demand field with a bright future. If traditional college is not your path, we offer an opportunity with an equivalent earnings potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the trade and advance to the journey worker level through our 4-year apprenticeship program with the US Department of Labor.
Job Duties:
Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape and equipment use Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, duct work, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers and tanks to help control noise and maintain temperatures Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives and scissors Read blueprints and specification to determine job requirements Follow safety guidelines Other duties as required
