Job Description
Spray Foam Tech — Elk River, MN Spray Foam Tech is looking for an experienced Spray Foam Insulation Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position for someone who already has experience installing spray foam and understands the equipment, chemical handling, application techniques, and jobsite requirements involved. We're looking for someone who can step onto a rig and contribute from day one. Responsibilities Install open-cell and closed-cell spray foam insulation Install blown-in and fiberglass insulation Prepare job sites and surfaces for insulation Operate and maintain equipment Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment Follow job specifications and installation procedures Properly set up and shut down spray foam rigs Monitor chemical temperatures, pressures, and equipment performance Identify and troubleshoot common spray foam equipment issues Properly apply foam to meet job specifications and manufacturer requirements Prepare surfaces and jobsites for installation Maintain consistent foam quality and thickness Perform trimming and cleanup Safely handle spray foam chemicals and PPE Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Work professionally around homeowners, builders, and contractors Help load, unload, and maintain equipment and materials Required Qualifications Spray foam installation experience is required. We're looking for someone who has hands-on experience spraying open-cell and/or closed-cell foam and understands the basics of: Proportioner operation Transfer pumps Spray guns Hose management Chemical temperatures and pressures Foam application techniques Substrate preparation Troubleshooting equipment and foam quality issues Proper PPE and jobsite safety A valid driver's license is required. Ideal Candidate The right person is: Experienced with spray foam installation Reliable and dependable Quality-oriented Mechanically inclined Able to troubleshoot problems in the field Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, garages, shops, and construction sites Comfortable working from ladders and lifts Able to work independently and as part of a two-person crew Professional when interacting with customers and contractors Willing to travel throughout the Twin Cities and Central Minnesota Compensation $28-$36/hour depending on experience and skill level.
