This individual is responsible for delivering exceptional workmanship, maintaining production schedules, ensuring jobsite safety, and providing an outstanding customer experience. The Crew Leader leads by example, develops team members, and ensures every project is completed in compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, applicable building codes, and OSHA regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Crew Management Lead, supervise, and motivate insulation installation crews. Conduct daily morning job briefings and assign responsibilities. Train, mentor, and develop installers in proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and company expectations. Hold crew members accountable for productivity, quality, attendance, and professionalism. Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Installation & Production Review work orders, project scope, and material requirements before each project.
Install and oversee installation of:
Fiberglass batt insulation Blown-in fiberglass Blown-in cellulose Spray foam insulation Air sealing products Other insulation systems as required Ensure all work complies with: Manufacturer installation specifications Local building codes Energy code requirements Pyramid Contractors quality standards Complete projects on schedule while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship. Assist with roofing-related insulation work when required. Jobsite Management Perform pre-installation, progress, and final quality inspections. Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites. 1 Protect customer property throughout installation. Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, inspectors, subcontractors, and coworkers. Immediately communicate schedule changes, jobsite issues, customer concerns, or unforeseen conditions to management. Equipment & Materials Operate insulation blowing machines, spray foam equipment, trailers, generators, ladders, lifts, and power tools safely. Load, transport, maintain, and inventory materials and equipment. Perform daily inspections of vehicles and equipment. Report damaged equipment or maintenance needs promptly. Minimize material waste and maximize production efficiency. Administrative Responsibilities Complete daily production reports. Record employee time accurately. Document material usage. Photograph completed work when required. Maintain accurate job documentation in company software. Assist management with scheduling and production planning. Safety Responsibilities Follow all OSHA regulations and Pyramid Contractors safety policies. Conduct daily vehicle, trailer, and equipment inspections. Ensure all employees wear required PPE. Safely work in attics, crawl spaces, elevated work areas, and confined spaces. Participate in all safety meetings and required training. Report accidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately. Stop work whenever unsafe conditions exist until corrected. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum three years of residential insulation installation experience. Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of fiberglass, cellulose, spray foam, and air sealing systems. Understanding of residential construction methods and building science principles. Ability to read work orders, construction plans, and installation specifications. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
