Olden Ave. Trenton, NJ 08610 : Monday, November 30, 2026 through Friday, December 4, 2026 Monday, December 7, 2026 through Friday, December 11, 2026 Monday & Wednesdays 12noon-6pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays 9am-3pm Join our state of the art, federally registered apprentice program as a Mechanical Insulator and play a vital role in enhancing building efficiency and safety! In this energetic position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems on various mechanical components, including pipes, ducts, tanks, and equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal thermal performance, energy conservation, and compliance with safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills in insulation installation, and contribute to high-quality construction outcomes. Duties Measure and interpret blueprint specifications to determine insulation requirements for mechanical systems Install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, or mineral wool on pipes, HVAC ducts, tanks, and equipment following technical drawings and schematics Use hand tools like knives, cutters, trowels, and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure insulation materials Climb ladders and scaffolding safely to access elevated work areas while adhering to all safety protocols Follow strict safety procedures related to power tool use, ladder safety, and handling hazardous materials Fabricate custom insulation pieces as needed to fit specific project requirements Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure installation meets specifications and deadlines Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on insulation or mechanical systems installation Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to insulation projects is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with building insulation installation techniques across various materials such as fiberglass, foam board, or mineral wool Strong mechanical knowledge including understanding of HVAC systems, piping layouts, roofing assemblies, drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, concrete finishing, masonry work, airless paint spraying and other related trades is highly desirable Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining high standards of quality and precision Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installation processes Excellent climbing ability for working at heights on ladders or scaffolding while following all safety protocols Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients during project execution Join us in delivering top-tier insulation solutions that improve building performance!
