In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing various types of insulation materials across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help improve building performance while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in construction installation while contributing to innovative building solutions. Duties Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, and mineral wool in walls, ceilings, floors, attics, and other designated areas. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine insulation requirements and proper installation procedures. Utilize hand tools (e.g., knives, tape measures, trowels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and efficiently to complete installations. Prepare surfaces by cleaning or removing old insulation or debris to ensure optimal adhesion and performance. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, masons, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site. Apply caulking and weatherproofing techniques to seal gaps around insulation for enhanced energy efficiency. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Prior experience in construction site work with familiarity in insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry or roofing. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment required for installation tasks. Mechanical knowledge including understanding of HVAC systems, metal stud framing, drywall trimming, stucco application, and concrete finishing is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical drawings related to fabrications like metal studs or masonry structures. Experience with construction painting techniques or airless paint spraying is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of performing precise measurements and cuts. Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or confined spaces.
