Job Description
Insulator Helper Assists insulator to help apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Work at heights with no fear. Carry tolls and materials, prepare surfaces to be insulated, and clean work area. Assist Insulator with brushing adhesives on or attaching metal backed pipes. Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces using tape measure, knife, or scissors. Assist in fitting, wrapping, or attaching required insulation material around or to structure. Cover or seat insulation with specified material to secure insulation to the structure. Other duties as assigned. Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
