Job Description
Wood is currently sourcing for an Insulator for a Maintenance contract in Houston, TX. Reporting to the Lead Insulator, the successful candidate will perform Lagging duties in a manner that protects safety, health and the environment, whilst conforming to quality and time requirements. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. 2-3 years of Journeyman experience in craft The employee must be able to use standard and/or metric rule to measure Demonstrate ability to use whole numbers, fractions and decimals to add, subtract, multiply and divide and be able to accurately follow instructions Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Ability to calculate the amount of material needed to erect a specfic scaffold fromt he instructions given Ability to figure materials for several different designs of scaffold Ability to read measuring tapes, and to understand the use of levels Ability to read and understand methods and procedurers that re present on drawings, layout work, and just specification Work in a safe and productive manner Be able to work at heights without fear Ensure all JSA's (Job Safety Analysis) are reviewed and understood, and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily completed to permit and WOOD Quality Assurance requirements. To assist tradesperson in their work when required Maintain good conduct and work harmoniously with other employees using fundamental interpersonal skills required of the work setting Working closely with the team to safely Remove/Install insulation and lagging to pipework and equipment as required Able to fabricate cladding sheet and work on a hot or cold piping system of a gas plant Ensure that all QA documentation is completed in a timely manner. Ensure that all Insulation is applied to the required standards as set by the client or WOOD As part of a multidiscipline team - rigging and scaffolding duties as required
