2. Applies, removes, and repairs complex insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels.
3. Installs cryogenic insulation materials such as aerogel or cellular glass.
4. Covers, seals, or finishes insulated surfaces with mastics, vapor stops, or sealants.
5. Applies adhesives on or attaches metal adhesive application to insulation material.
6. Fabricates, fits or wraps and applies insulation following design drawings, isometrics, or project specifications.
7. Reads and interprets craft related isometric drawings and selects required insulation material.
8. Measures and cuts insulation, using tape measures, knives, and scissors or other measuring devices.
9. Applies, removes, and repairs cementitious fireproofing materials on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels.
10. Mix and transport cementitious fireproofing materials.
11. Completes prep work including surface preparation, cleaning, formwork placement, and metal lath installation.
