Job Description

Swan Pest Control is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Residential Home Care Technician to support our expanding structural and environmental home services division. •

•This is NOT a full-time position at the time of hire. This position begins as an as-needed, project-based role with variable hours based on scheduled jobs and client demand. Some weeks may have multiple projects, while other weeks may have limited or no scheduled work. Applicants should be comfortable with a flexible schedule and understand that full-time hours are not guaranteed at the time of hire. About the Position This role involves hands-on work in crawlspaces, attics, and structural areas of residential homes. Services include crawlspace encapsulations, vapor barrier installation, insulation removal and replacement, termite treatments, moisture control systems, and related structural improvements. This is a ground-floor opportunity within a growing company where quality workmanship, attention to detail, and reliability are highly valued. Core Responsibilities Crawlspace Encapsulation & Moisture Control Install vapor barriers (poly) to help control moisture and environmental conditions Seal gaps, cracks, and penetrations Install and maintain dehumidifiers and sump pump systems Conduct crawlspace inspections and maintenance services Attic & Insulation Services Safely remove old, damaged, or contaminated insulation Assess insulation performance and identify improvement opportunities Install insulation using proper installation methods Perform air sealing and moisture control improvements when needed Termite & Structural Services Assist with trench and treat termite applications Support installation and servicing of termite monitoring and bait systems Perform minor exclusion and structural sealing work Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Physical Requirements Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, and confined spaces Able to lift and carry insulation, equipment, vapor barrier rolls, and other materials Able to bend, kneel, crawl, and work in tight areas for extended periods Comfortable using hand tools and power tools safely Able to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions Experience & Qualifications Preferred experience in: Crawlspace encapsulation Insulation installation or removal Moisture control systems Construction or home improvement trades Pest control or termite services
Requirements:
Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Certifications in construction, waterproofing, pest control, or related trades are a plus but not required. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate service records Capture before and after photos of completed work Communicate findings clearly and professionally Report material needs and job progress Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety procedures Work safely in confined spaces and challenging environments Maintain compliance with local building codes and industry standards Adhere to Swan Pest Control's smoke-free workplace policy Wear required personal protective equipment Equipment & Material Management Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Keep materials organized and job ready Help maintain a clean and professional work environment Represent Swan Pest Control professionally at all times Position Status & Growth Opportunity This position is currently an as-needed, project-based role. Work is scheduled based on client demand and may fluctuate throughout the year. There is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours each week.
