Position Summary The Insulation Installer position at Suburban Drywall supports the Insulation Department by installing blown-in insulation systems, spray foam, fiberglass insulation, and related materials for residential and commercial projects. This role requires safe and effective operation of insulation tools, equipment, forklifts, scaffolding, and service vehicles while maintaining high-quality workmanship, clean job sites, and professional results. The Insulation Installer works as part of a crew, coordinates with contractors and builders as needed, follows company safety policies, and helps ensure each project is completed accurately, efficiently, and to specification. Key Responsibilities Install blown-in insulation systems (including BIBS), spray foam, and fiberglass insulation in residential and commercial projects Interpret and follow building codes, insulation specifications, and R-values Measure, cut, and apply insulation materials accurately for proper fit, coverage, and finish Install wall and ceiling netting for BIBS applications Maintain high-quality workmanship and ensure a clean, professional finish on all installations Operate insulation equipment and tools safely and effectively Load, unload, transport, and stage insulation materials and job-site equipment Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely Set up, dismantle, and return scaffolding and job-site equipment after completion Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, equipment, and service trucks; report issues as needed Follow all company safety policies, attend safety meetings, and maintain safe work practices Coordinate with contractors and builders to support scheduling and job-site logistics Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned. Qualifications Construction or insulation experience preferred (we will train) Basic knowledge of insulation materials and methods a plus Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong focus on safety and proper equipment use Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical work Basic math and measurement skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and support a crew Valid driver's license required Willingness to learn forklift and job-site equipment operation Strong time management and commitment to quality workmanship
