• C & R Pipe and Steel, Inc. is seeking reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy individuals to join our team as Scrap Metal Laborers. This is a hands-on position working in a fast-paced scrap metal recycling yard. Duties may vary depending on experience and daily operational needs and may include sorting and processing scrap metal, assisting customers, operating tools and equipment, general yard work, cleanup, and equipment/property maintenance.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Dependable with good attendance and a strong work ethic Sort, handle, move, and process various types of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal Perform physical labor, including regularly lifting and moving materials ranging from approximately 3 to 80 pounds Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor/industrial environment Learn to identify and separate different types and grades of scrap metal Learn to safely operate hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, and other processing equipment Assist with general maintenance, cleanup, and upkeep of equipment, work areas, and yard property Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with coworkers and supervisors Be willing to learn new tasks and assist in different areas of the operation as needed Ability to stand, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Previous scrap metal, construction, equipment, warehouse, or industrial experience is helpful but not required We are looking for people who show up, work hard, work safely, and are willing to learn. Training will be provided for the right candidates.

Full-time Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
