Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Shipfitter to join our team in the maritime industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting various components of ships, ensuring that all parts meet the required specifications and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and the ability to work with hand tools and precision measuring instruments. The Shipfitter will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of our vessels. Duties Assemble and fit structural components of ships according to blueprints and schematics. Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements and fittings. Maintain high standards of workmanship while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven 3 to 4 years of experience as a Shipfitter or in a similar role within the maritime industry. Proficiency in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments. Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings related to ship assembly. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards. Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or as a service technician is preferred but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in a shipbuilding environment. Details Pay rate $37.00 an hour. Background check and drug screening required.
