Job Description We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Medical Assisting program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assistant courses. The typical teaching load is two courses each term, with one or two preparations. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation. Requirements Completion of a Medical Assistant program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
Certifications:
CCMA and/or
CMA and/or
RMA At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, providing patient-facing support Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
