Job Description
As a Scrap Yard Laborer / Metal Processor, you'll handle a variety of physical and mechanical tasks that keep the yard running. This includes unloading vehicles, sorting and processing metals, and preparing materials for recycling. No two days are the same — it's fast-paced, physical work that rewards effort and reliability. Pay depends on experience Responsibilities Unload vehicles and materials safely and efficiently Sort and process metals (steel, aluminum, copper, etc.) Operate basic equipment and hand tools (torches, shears, etc.) Assist with cutting, cleaning, and organizing materials Maintain a clean and safe work area Communicate with scale operators and customers as needed Follow all safety procedures and company policies Requirements Strong work ethic and reliability — must show up ready to work Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather Basic mechanical skills a plus (not required) Willingness to learn and take direction
