Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fabricate commercial hollow metal doors and frames from work orders and shop drawings
- Verify measurements, squareness, and tolerances using measuring tools
- Fabricate and weld frame assemblies
- Install hardware reinforcements for hinges, locks, closers, strikes, and specialty hardware
- Cut, fit, and assemble steel components using fabrication equipment
- Operate grinders, saws, punches, drill presses, shears, brakes, and other fabrication machinery safely
- Grind and finish welds to company quality standards
- Maintain positive and productive relationships with customers, other contractors, suppliers, and teammates
- Maintain equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision
- Assist other departments as production demands require
Required Qualifications:
- Experience using fabrication equipment and hand tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Minimum 2 years of metalworking or light welding experience
- Pass Pre-Employment Drug screen
- Have a clean driving record and valid Arizona driver's license.
- Must be able to complete OSHA 10
Hour Safety Trainings and Forklift Operator Certification Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and climb as necessary.
- Manual dexterity to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
- Welding helmet
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Hearing protection
