Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on various metal materials, ensuring all work aligns with industry standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, metal fabrication, and assembly tasks. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored), in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds Use power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal components Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated parts utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify adherence to specifications Follow safety protocols rigorously during all welding and fabrication activities to maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, mechanical fabrication projects, and metal materials handling within the fabrication shop or construction site Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols Demonstrated expertise in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, and gas metal arc welding Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and shop math calculations Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication and assembly Prior work in a fabrication shop environment involving metal materials, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes Knowledge of crane operation or working around cranes is a plus but not mandatory Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately for quality control Join our team as a Certified Welder if you are passionate about precision craftsmanship, committed to safety excellence, and eager to contribute your technical expertise to impactful projects.
