Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Welder / General Laborer to assist with welding, metal fabrication, and general labor projects. This position will involve a combination of welding and hands-on general labor. Typical work may include welding steel components, cutting and grinding metal, assembling materials, moving equipment and supplies, and assisting with various construction, repair, and maintenance projects. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with their hands, willing to learn, and able to follow instructions carefully. Previous welding or metal fabrication experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has basic experience and a strong willingness to learn. Duties Perform basic welding and metal fabrication work. Assist with fitting, assembling, and positioning steel components prior to welding. Use grinders, saws, drills, welding equipment, and other hand and power tools. Cut, grind, clean, and prepare metal for welding and fabrication. Assist with general construction, repair, and maintenance projects. Lift, move, load, and organize materials and equipment. Measure and mark materials accurately according to project requirements. Assist with preparation and cleanup of work areas. Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Follow supervisor instructions and established work procedures. Follow all safety requirements when welding, grinding, cutting, lifting, and operating tools or equipment. Work with other team members to complete projects safely and efficiently. Learn new welding, fabrication, and construction skills as needed. Qualifications Previous welding, metal fabrication, construction, maintenance, or general labor experience is preferred. Basic welding experience is preferred, but extensive professional welding experience is not required. Familiarity with grinders, drills, saws, and other common hand and power tools is preferred. Ability to accurately use basic measuring tools such as a tape measure. Ability to perform physical work, including regularly lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks and working on your feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills. Valid driver's license required. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to develop welding, metal fabrication, repair, and general construction skills while working on a variety of projects.
