- We are seeking experienced Structures Mechanics to support heavy maintenance, structural repair, and full rebuild programs on
- S‑64 heavy‑lift helicopters
- . This role is based
- exclusively in Medford, Oregon
- , and supports long-term fleet expansion and refurbishment projects. You'll work from blueprints and approved data to repair, fabricate, and install aircraft structural components as part of a skilled, production-focused team. This position is ideal for mechanics who take pride in precision sheet metal work and want steady, meaningful projects rather than short-term line maintenance.
- Compensation, Per Diem & Schedule
- + •Total compensation: $42-$52/hr DOE•+ •Per diem available for those who qualify:•$176/day for up to 5 days per week (split per diem structure) + •Flexible shift availability•(must be open to potential second shift) + •Basic hand tools required•+ •Structures plate test required•— employment contingent upon passing prior to starting work •What You'll Do•+ Perform structural repairs on S‑64 helicopters using riveting, countersinking, bending, cutting, and sheet metal fabrication techniques + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and structural repair documentation to plan and execute work accurately + Install aircraft structural components and assemblies in accordance with approved specifications + Support heavy maintenance checks, upgrades, and full helicopter rebuilds using stored airframes, inventory components, and fabricated parts + Fabricate aircraft-grade sheet metal parts, including drilling, cutting, bending, and forming + Use proper riveting methods to install and secure structural components + Work on tasks aligned with demonstrated skill level, including fabrication‑focused or installation‑focused assignments + Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while working in hangar and shop environments + Collaborate with engineering, machining, quality, and production teams to ensure proper fit, finish, and compliance + Maintain and use personal tools while accessing specialized tools through the company's electronic tool crib + Complete assigned work within required timeframes while maintaining high workmanship standards + Support long-term production schedules tied to heavy checks, upgrades, and multi‑year rebuild programs •What We're Looking For•+ Proven experience drilling, cutting, bending, countersinking, and riveting aircraft sheet metal + Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and aircraft structural documentation + Hands-on experience performing aircraft structures repair and installation + Ability and willingness to complete a •basic structures plate test•(rivets and bends) prior to starting + •Ownership of basic aircraft hand tools•+ •4+ years of aircraft MRO experience•+ •Strong aircraft structures experience•+ •Prior experience as an aircraft structures mechanic or technician•Additional Qualifications•+ A&P certificate preferred but not required + Aircraft structures manufacturing experience acceptable for select openings + Helicopter structures or sheet metal experience is highly desirable + Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks + Strong attention to detail, quality, and procedural compliance + Willingness to work different shifts, including a possible transition to an evening schedule •Work Environment•Work is performed in aircraft hangar and shop areas supporting heavy‑lift helicopter maintenance and full airframe rebuilds.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
